Over the years Senior Centers have vastly changed. What was once a place to play cards and attend craft classes has now became a place where older adults can receive a wide variety of educational, recreational, and health-related services.
Examples of these services, programs and events are: Congregated meals, health screenings, health education, clinics, adult education, enrichment classes, arts & crafts, travel programs, cards, bingo, dancing, transportation, exercise classes, legal assistance, financial assistance, prescription programs, insurance assistance, support groups, outreach services, housing assistance, tax assistance, and surplus commodities.
